Dive into the fun with classic lawn games, spin into action with our hoops and uncover even more outdoor games and activities dotted around the grounds.

Further afield, explore woodland trails and paddle on the shingle shores of Windermere.

This event is free but parking charges apply to non-National Trust members.

You'll find these activities on the lawns by the castle, or in the picnic areas at Wray.

Other

The castle at Wray is closed in 2026 due to a major refurbishment project, but the car park, cafe, facilities and wider grounds and parkland are all fully open.
