Guided visits to the Priory Church and Medieval Stew Ponds

There are 20 spaces on this walk to sign up on the day.

An exclusive chance to see this beautiful area. This visit will only go ahead in good weather due to ground conditions on the route. Please wear sturdy footwear and ask at reception on your way in.

You can sign up on the day for this event. The spaces are first come, first served. Please ask at Visitor Reception for more information.

This is not suitable for children under 8 years old. This is not suitable for dogs other than assistance dogs. Normal admission prices apply.

This is aimed at adults but suitable for accompanied children 8 years and over

Meeting point

Meet at the Visitor Reception where you can sign up for the guided tour and to receive more detailed information.

What to bring and wear

Please wear sturdy footwear for uneven muddy ground, and dress for whatever the weather brings.

Accessibility

This walk is no longer than two kilometres from start to finish. It will be carried out at a very steady pace. A talk usually happens in the church where there are seats. There are shallow slopes and uneven, potentially very muddy, grass. There may be slippery areas next to the ponds.

This will not go ahead in poor weather. This tour has limited spaces, and the sign up is first come first served. Assistance dogs only.
