Winter at Sizergh 

There’s winter wonder for the whole family at Sizergh, near Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District.

Christmas at Lyme 

Get into the festive spirit at Lyme with Animal Crackers, where wild and wonderful animals have taken over the house. Listen to choirs performing Christmas classics in the chapel and warm up after a wintery walk with festive afternoon tea in the Servants' Hall.

Winter walks 

Winter has a beauty of its own, with the landscape transformed by dustings of frost, blankets of snow and the golden glow of low sunlight. Through leafless trees, you’ll see new views and distant horizons. Wildlife is easier to spot in the stillness of a winter woodland and, after a long walk on a chilly day, there’s the promise a cosy hot chocolate and treat in the café.
