The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ at Ham House and Garden

Join us for an enchanting trail inspired by Eric Carle’s much-loved children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Ideal for younger kids and early years, little ones learn fascinating facts about the cycle of a butterfly and practice skills like counting as they experience one of nature’s greatest transformations on our The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ trail.

Pick up a trail sheet on arrival and follow the illustrated markers around the gardens to set off on a journey of discovery together.

Celebrate completing the trail with a snap in front of our stunning photo opportunity – giant, colourful butterfly wings!

Delivered in partnership with award-winning creator of interactive events Bakehouse Factory.
