November weekday conservation tours
During weekdays in November, our conservation focus month, see inside Ham House on one of our behind-the-scenes tours
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Access inside Ham House is by tour on weekdays throughout November, with free-flow access on weekends (open 12–4, last entry 3.30 on Saturdays and Sundays). Our weekday tours run from 11.30 to 2.30.
This allows our staff and volunteer team to carry out important conservation work on the house’s 17th-century interior during a quieter time before the festive season begins. These 50-minute tours are a chance to get up-close to conservation work, see some of Ham's most spectacular rooms, and hear about how we look after the objects and buildings in our care.
Tour times: 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30.
Tours run subject to volunteer availability.
No advance booking. Please sign up at Visitor Welcome on the day of your visit, first come first served. The site opens at 10am daily.
If you’d like to explore the house at your own pace in November, we recommend visiting on a weekend or joining us from Saturday 29 November to see the house decorated for Christmas. Please note, the whole site is closed on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 November while we get ready for the festive season.
