The May Half Term we're celebrating rivers and the magic of the Wandle at Morden Hall Park! Join us for a morning of storytelling, crafts, and creative play inspired by Mami Wata, the African goddess of water.
Through storytelling, rhythm, movement, and simple crafts, children and families will explore themes of nature, water, culture, and belonging. Volunteers will help you create a colourful Mami Wata greetings card, decorated with mermaids, cowries, and fish, to take home.
This session is part of our river-themed summer programme, including the Henry the Heron Riverbank Trail and activities celebrating the Wandle throughout the summer. These activities are designed to connect families to the park, its rivers, and the natural world in a fun, inclusive way.
Suitable for children aged 3 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.
