Heritage Open Days 2025 - Walled Garden Open Day

Visit Felbrigg Hall's beautiful Walled Garden on this open day. A delightful garden with double flower borders, vegetable beds, trained fruit trees and an octagonal dovecote.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

Get up close to the double borders and herb beds and breathe in the scent of lavender, sage and mint. You can find many modern surprises within this traditional garden, including one of the few octagonal working dovecotes in the country, dating back to the early 1750s.

Visit The Bacchus Garden. Once called the ‘south lawn’ of the Walled Garden, it has been transformed by the garden team in recent years. Climate resilient borders have been extended and a winter-proof path added, to allow safe access all year round. See artist blacksmith Toby Winterbourn's work and say hello to our chickens.

The rolling landscape park with a lake, 211 hectares (520 acres) of woods and waymarked trails is a great place to explore nature and wildlife on this bountiful estate. With buggy friendly surfaces on main visitor routes, families can enjoy a relaxing day out.

The Walled Garden is open 10am - 4.30pm ( last entry 4pm)

Cafe, shop and second hand bookshop 10am-4.30

Please note that Felbrigg Hall will be closed for conservation.
