Guided walk: Summer in Hawthorn Dene

A ramble around Hawthorn Dene enjoying the sights and sounds of summer.

Join walk leaders Janet and Steven to explore Hawthorn Dene, and learn about the history, heritage and nature of the area. Enjoy the peaceful broadleaved woodland and the meadows awash with colourful wildflowers.

The walk is approximately 3 miles/4.8km and will be completed at a pace to suit the group. Free, no need to book.

Suitability

Suitable for children aged 10+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Meeting point

What to bring and wear

Sturdy walking shoes/boots, waterproofs and layers to suit changeable weather advised. Sun cream and hat may be appropriate. Please bring a drink, plus a snack if needed.

Accessibility

The route features some steep slopes and uneven ground.

Other

Dogs on a short lead are welcome. Limited free on-road parking available at the meeting point.
