Our Story Isn’t Over: An Exhibition of Women, Recovery and Renewal at Gibside
Celebrating International Women’s Day and North East in Blossom 2026.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Step into a powerful exhibition, an intimate collection of images and stories created by women whose voices blossom with honesty and courage.
Working with artists Sharon Bailey and Nicola Balfour, participants from East Durham have photographed the landscape around The Barn at Easington, pairing their images with words that reflect lived experience, hope and renewal.
This installation explores themes of love, nature, acceptance and the strength found in recovery. Through honest storytelling and creative expression, it challenges stigma and highlights the powerful role nature can play in supporting wellbeing. A thoughtful, uplifting exhibition that invites you to pause, reflect and see the world through another’s eyes.
