Learn how to support local wildlife by making a simple bird feeder.

Make a bird feeder with fat, seeds and string. Take it home and hang it outside to help the wildlife in your local area.
Vegetable fat will be available for anyone who is uncomfortable handling or using animal fat.
This activity is free, drop in on the day (normal admission applies).

- Suitability
Suitable for ages 4+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Meeting point
This event will take place in the Walled Garden in dry weather. If the weather is poor it will be in the Forest Room (near Gibside Pizza Pit). Please check with Visitor Reception on the day.
- What to bring and wear
Weather appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes are recommended.
- Accessibility
The Walled Garden and the Forest Room are both wheelchair accessible. Access bus may be available on the day, please ask at Visitor Reception.
