Gibside’s gardens and green spaces will come alive with music this spring and summer, with a varied programme featuring everything from folk harmonies to classical favourites. Across the season, six local groups will bring their own style and energy to the estate, creating the perfect soundtrack to a day outdoors. You can look forward to:
Storiella, a North East vocal trio blending folk, contemporary and Americana influences with beautiful harmonies and a mix of instruments. Sunday 12 April, 12–2.30pm
Bob Pullen, a classical pianist performing well‑loved pieces from Bach to Beethoven. Saturday 16 May, 2–4pm
Whittonstall Community Band, a joyful mix of brass, woodwind, percussion and more, playing everything from film themes to pop classics. Sunday 17 May, time TBC
Red Kites Jazz, bringing laid‑back jazz vibes to a sunny afternoon. Sunday 17 May, 1–3pm
Fellside Brass, a quintet that delivers rich, bold brass sounds. Friday 7 August, 1.30–3.30pm
Felling Male Voice Choir, filling the estate with powerful harmonies. Sunday 23 August, time TBC
