Roots of Me workshop
Help Complete a Collaborative Portrait
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join artist Nicola and make your mark on the final collaborative artwork in the Roots of Me exhibition. Together, we'll add the finishing touches to a unique portrait of Mary Eleanor, created through individual leaf prints that celebrate the experiences, identities and stories that make us who we are.
Throughout the morning, Nicola will be working with local community groups to contribute to the piece. In the afternoon, everyone is invited to take part in a free drop-in session. Using foam leaf-shaped stamps and fabric printing techniques, you can add your own leaf print to this collective artwork.
Once complete, the portrait will be displayed in the Walled Garden alongside the self-portraits created by the women and girls who have taken part in the Roots of Me project.
No experience needed - just drop in, get creative and become part of the exhibition.
