Summer of Play: SEND adult outdoor games with Smile Through Sport
Play outdoor games and sports activities designed for adults (18+) with SEND.

Join us for an afternoon of trying out a range of outdoor sports and games in this adult session with Smile Through Sport. Activities will be adapted to suit each participant by the trained coaches.
This event is £4; please remember to book your place. Activities will take place in the Foghorn Field, within the Lighthouse Grounds. You do not need to be National Trust members to attend, and you are welcome to stay as long as you like afterwards.
If you are a National Trust member, please scan your membership card when you arrive. To get free parking, just show your booking confirmation email to the reception team.
Smile Through Sport is a disability sport charity based in the North East. Paralympian Stephen Miller MBE founded the charity to offer events, sessions, and education that help improve the health and wellbeing of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in the region. They support organisations, individuals, and families with a variety of services.

These sessions are specially designed for adults (18+) with SEND. Please be aware that the activities will be on a grassy field, and the ground may be a little uneven. There is step-free access from the car park.

- What to bring and wear
Please wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes, like trainers. Make sure your clothing is suitable for the weather, as the ground could be muddy.
