Moth night at Washington Old Hall

Join Jason the ranger to find and identify the gardens' moth population, helping to build a picture of nature in Washington.

Drop by and stay for the whole evening, or just a little while - whatever suits you.

This event is free. Donations are very welcome and will go directly towards caring for Washington Old Hall and its wildlife.

Suitable for ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meeting point

Meet at the Washington Old Hall main gates.

What to bring and wear

Wrap up warm. Sturdy footwear advised.

Accessibility

This event includes a short walk through the gardens. Level access to the lower gardens, nuttery and toilets can be arranged. Please speak to a member of the team on arrival or during your visit. If you have any questions about access, please get in contact.

Please note, finding moths is dependent on the right conditions; this event may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather.
