Join Jane Wallace from Grantham Arts to learn how how to design, hand-punch and construct a traditional collapsible Scandinavian paper star lantern, just like the ones you see shining in every Swedish window throughout the long dark winters.
You can create your star in either bright white or cream paper and you can light it up at home with an electric cable or just some simple battery fairy lights. Or just display it as it is.
It’s lots of fun, all tools and templates will be provided, along with Swedish Christmas tea and gingerbread.
The perfect Christmas activity with a long lasting and delightful product at the end.
(Note - if you have arthritis in your hands you might find the hole punching painful. You could still do the workshop but punch less holes).

There is blue badge parking available on site which can be reserved in advance by calling Grantham House on 01476 285588.
