Autumn weekly wellness walks
Enjoy a scenic 5-mile coastal loop from Sandilands, where sea air and seasonal wildlife offer a refreshing escape. Prefer a gentler pace? A shorter, accessible route is also available.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Take time for yourself in nature and join our volunteer walk leaders on the second Monday of every month for a refreshing 5-mile walk through the Sandilands reserve and along the peaceful stretch of Moggs Eye Beach. With the sound of the waves and the rustle of autumn leaves, it’s the perfect way to unwind and reconnect with the natural world. Prefer a gentler pace? A shorter route is also available, perfect for all abilities.
Suitable for all abilities, you’re welcome to walk at your own pace. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome.
This walk is free, and donations are warmly welcomed, every contribution helps us care for National Trust Sandilands and support its transformation into a thriving coastal nature reserve.
Times
The basics
- Meeting point
Meet our volunteer walk leaders near the carpark at 10am.
- What to bring and wear
Suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy walking boots or shoes are recommended. We'd advise bringing a drink too.
- Accessibility
Thanks to new hard-standing paths and boardwalks, the shorter route is fully accessible and suitable for all abilities. The longer walk includes some inclines and uneven terrain, which may be muddy after wet weather, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
