To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of this beloved classic, we’re hosting a special outdoor cinema event at the iconic filming location itself. Immerse yourself in the nostalgia and experience the movie like never before, right where it was made.
What to expect: Gates open from 6.30pm, providing an opportunity to visit the exhibition, 'Visions Unreel: Exploring Basildon Park’s Film and TV Highlights', before the film begins.
The tearoom will be serving a special evening menu of burgers, hot dogs and wedges with a vegan option available. Teas and coffees, alcoholic and soft drinks & ice creams will be available throughout the evening.
Choose a spot on the lawn in front of the iconic Palladian mansion, set up a camping chair or picnic blanket and settle in. At 8pm 'Pride & Prejudice' will begin.

- Meeting point
Arrive at the main visitor car park between 6.30 - 7.30pm. Please present your tickets at the nearby stableyard courtyard and proceed on the woodland walk towards the mansion.
- What to bring and wear
Bring a camping chair or picnic blanket to sit on and a jumper or coat for when it becomes cooler after dark. A torch may be helpful for finding your way to your car.
- Accessibility
There is designated mobility parking, 20 yards from the ticket office. It is 400 yards from the stableyard arrival area to the mansion, a visitor buggy will be available for transfers. There is an accessible toilet at the stableyard and at the mansion. There are ramps to access the tearoom, exhibition and toilets.
