Guided Tours at Stowe Gardens

Are you interested in the history of Stowe Gardens? Join us for a free guided tour led by our tour guide volunteers every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11am.

When are our guided tours? There will be a free guided tour every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11am between Tuesday 31 March and Thursday 22 October in 2026. All guided tours begin at Bell Gate. Additional tours are subject to availability and normal garden admission applies. Tours will last approximately 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes.

If you are interested in a bespoke tour for a group, please contact stowe.groupbookings@nationaltrust.org.uk.

Do I need to prebook? No prebooking is required for our guided tours.

Are dogs allowed? Dogs on short leads are welcome to join our guided tours.

Can I become a tour guide? Yes! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer tour guide at Stowe Gardens, please contact us at getinvolved.stowe@nationaltrust.org.uk.

Meeting point

Use postcode MK18 5EQ for Stowe Gardens car park. Upon arrival, make your way to Bell Gate.

Dress for the weather.

Accessibility

800m walk to garden entrance from car park. Free access shuttle operates daily from cafe to garden entrance. Plenty of accessible parking. Accessible toilets at New Inn, by the cafe, and at the garden entrance. Accessible vehicles available to hire (phone in advance to book).
