Look out for star signs in Pebble Alcove, Lamport's mile marker, rabbit burrows and ruins on this 30 minute gentle walk, starting at Bell Gate.

    Start point

    New Inn Visitor Centre.

    Stage 1

    Start at New Inn Visitor Centre. From here head towards Bell Gate.

    Stage 2

    Walk through Bell Gate and make a right, follow the path that heads towards the lake.

    Stage 3

    Make your way around the curved path alongside the lake and past Pebble Alcove. From here follow the path and head towards the Temple of Friendship.

    Stage 4

    You are now at the Temple of Friendship. This temple was built in 1739 as a meeting place for Lord Cobham and his friends.

    Stage 5

    Head right just before the Palladian Bridge and make your way towards the Chinese House and into Lamport Garden.

    Stage 6

    Follow the path around Lamport Garden, through the wooden door and up past Brown's Cascade.

    Stage 7

    Make a right back towards the Chinese House and follow the path back to Bell Gate.
