Create With Us: Storyfolk | Apple Day Stories

Join in and listen to the age-old traditions of storytelling to celebrate Apple Day.

Enter the Fruiting Orchard to find the storytelling tent where our expert team of storytellers, Storyfolk, will be waiting to share autumnal tales of old! Expect to listen to tales of Thomas the Rhymer, William Tell, Apple of Discord and others.

Please note each story telling session is 30 minutes long and there will be a break in between performances where visitors can explore the self-guided Apple Jack story trail through the Fruiting Orchard. Visitors are welcome to sign up for multiple storytelling sessions!

Please sign up to a space at Visitor Reception upon arrival to secure your spot as spaces are limited. Please be aware that a House and Gardens ticket is needed for entry into the Fruiting Orchard.

Please meet by the storytelling tent in the Fruiting Orchard, our team at Visitor Reception will be able to direct you.

What to bring and wear

Please wrap up warm as the storytelling will take place in a tent outside.

Accessibility

This event will take place in a tent in the garden, there will be a mixture of bean bags, benches and deck chairs as seating. We cannot guarantee seating for everyone. Accessible parking is located to the front of the car park and facilities are available in the Stableyard.
