Create With Us: Creative Writing Workshop
Come and join us for creative writing workshops through the year exploring themes of Elizabethan festivals, changes in the seasons, or empowering women.

Create your very own poems and short stories through a series of short exercises based on a different theme throughout the year:
• 23 April: Shakespeare's Birthday*
• 9 May: Blossom*
• 6 June: Hidden stories of the collections*
• 6 July: Garden wellness walk and writing (the writing aspect of this walk will take place in the Cart Shed which has soft bark flooring)
• 2 August: Lamas Day and harvest celebration*
*This event takes place on the third floor of the mansion, please note there are no lift facilities available Suitable for all abilities, all we ask is you come with your imagination! Pen and paper will be provided, please feel free to bring any notebooks or tools with you that help to channel creativity.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up.
- Meeting point
Please meet at Visitor Reception located in the Stableyard, a member of the team will take you through to the hall. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop is due to start.
- What to bring and wear
Please bring a pen and paper with you.
- Accessibility
Some workshops may take place on the third floor of Hardwick and there are no lifts available, these should be clearly marked with an (*) in the description. A buggy service is available to and from the hall if required. The other workshops will be accessible via step-free access
- Other
Standard admission applies if you are a non member of the National Trust. Both the House & Garden's ticket or the Wider Estate ticket are accepted as standard admission for this event. Please note entry to the house after the workshop has finished is only applicable with a House & Gardens ticket.
