Attingham Nature Weekend | Water

Join us over the weekend of Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June for the ‘Attingham Nature Weekend | Water’.

Meet the British Dragonfly Society, The Severn Rivers Trust, Shropshire Wildlife Trust, Attingham’s Nature Recovery Team and others, who will all be providing a range of activities over the weekend.

Visitors will be able to take part in a range of activities from guided walks, to water beastie spotting, and arts and crafts, all around the theme of rivers, ponds and the wildlife that inhabit them. Some events over the weekend are drop- in, some are pre-booked in advance, please see individual events listings for more information.

There is no additional charge for events and activities. Admission is free for National Trust members and under 5s, standard admission charges apply for non members.

Suitability

Range of activities from ages 5+ to adult.

Meeting point

This is an outdoors event and most events and activitie take place on the lawn in front of the Mansion. Some take place in the Deer Park or Parkland.

What to bring and wear

This is an outdoors event so please dress for the weather on the day. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

Accessibility

The front of the Mansion is accessed via a mixture of tarmac, tiled and hoggin paths. Paths are level or at a slight gradient. For more accessibility information please see access guide on the website.

New for 2026 Imagining India is a spotlight exhibition featuring historic objects from Attingham's collection. See a rare recently conserved panoramic artwork alongside prints, ceramics, books, clocks, militaria and miniatures all inspired by India.
