Attingham Walking Group: November Walks

Join our Walk Leaders for a walk through the Deer Park as the seasons change. This activity is free but please book a space so we know how many walkers to expect.This walk is approximately 3 miles (5km) long and is at a relaxed space.

Coming to Attingham for the first time or looking for a new way to explore the estate, try joining one of our new friendly volunteer-led walking groups. These groups provide a friendly and relaxed environment with the aim of helping people to explore Attingham’s outdoors. Whether you’re doing the walk for fitness, wellbeing or simply to get outdoors, everyone is welcome. This Deer Park Wallk is approximatelt 3 miles (5km) long.

To create a peaceful atmosphere, free from distractions, the Walking Group is not suitable for dog walkers. Parents or carers with young children (under 3) are welcome to bring them in a baby carrier or sling (not suitable for pushchairs or buggies).

Meeting point

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the walk start time at Visitor Reception and let them know you are here for the Walking Group. You will meet your Walk Leaders in the Stables Courtyard.

What to bring and wear

Please wear clothing suitable for the weather on the day and sturdy footwear. Please bring a water bottle and your own snacks/food for the walk, there will be a snack break during this walk.

Accessibility

This walk is in the Deer Park which is primarily on grass paths, some surfaces are uneven. Due to the ground conditions the route is not suitable for buggies, pushchairs. Please contact us in advance with accessibility queries or for suitabilty of the route for PMVs or wheelchairs on attingham@nationaltrust.org.uk

Other

Parents or carers with young children (under 3) are welcome to bring them in a baby carrier or sling. To create a peaceful atmosphere, free from distractions, the Walking Group is not suitable for dog walkers. Walking distance of 3 miles, we expect the walk to take around 2 hours (including break) but this will depend on the speed of the walking group. The walk is relaxed and is suitable for a range of abilities. Entrance to Attingham is free for pre-booked ticket holders for the Walking Group. This is a free activivity but places must be booked in advance.
