This circular walk takes you through woodland, which includes children’s play equipment. In the spring, you'll pass hedgerows heavy with cherry plum blossom with its frothy white petals and springtime scent. The autumn and winter bring brilliant colour from both fruits and leaves.

Start point

Stage 1
From car park, go through the wooden double gates along a tarmacked path. Bear left – you’ll see the house on your right – pause at the gate to admire Lytes Cary Manor. On your left is a round water tower. Keep left and look for a waymarker post with bands coloured red, white and purple which leads to a gravel path. Follow the path until it opens out into a field with an information board.
Stage 2
Turn left and follow the field margin until you reach a wooden fingerpost directing you to the natural play area. Turn left over a bridge into the woodland.
Stage 3
Follow the winding path, a mix of gravel or dirt, through the woodland. There are nine different play stations to discover and benches for picnics.
Stage 4
When you reach a fork in the path, bear right and you will find yourself back in the field. Turn right and retrace your steps along the field margin to the house.
