Saving the Staircases

Join us at Montacute House for a series of short, engaging volunteer-led talks, exploring the fascinating Saving the Staircases conservation project.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Taking place daily every hour on the half hour—beginning at 11:30am—volunteers will deliver a 10‑minute talk introducing the history, challenges, and craftsmanship behind conserving Montacute House's iconic staircases.

Between talks, you’ll find the volunteer wandering the grounds, happy to answer your questions and share more stories about the project and their work.

The talks are outdoors and are subject to volunteer availability and weather.
