Suffolk’s biggest and best loved outdoor theatre event Theatre in the Forest returns to Sutton Hoo for another unforgettable summer of Shakespeare under the stars. Join us on the island of Illyria this summer for Shakespeare’s hilarious romance of mistaken identity! Shipwrecked twins Viola and Sebastian are separated, each assuming that the other is drowned. When Viola disguises herself as a boy to work for the Count Orsino, a hilarious comedy of mistaken identity and misunderstandings unfolds, full of romance, revenge and...yellow stockings! If you loved Hamlet last summer, or if you’re completely new to the bard, you will love this production of Twelfth Night. With more spectacular puppetry, incredible music and laugh-out loud comedy, there’s something for all the family to enjoy!
Arrive from 5pm to enjoy a wander around the Sutton Hoo landscape. The King's River Café will be open until the show starts for hot and cold drinks and snacks. You won't need to worry about packing up a picnic as we'll be joined by a hot food concession throughout the run. During the interval, the King's River Café will re-open along with an outlet situated next to the seating area which will be serving sweets, ice creams and hot chocolate.
