Join us as Theatre in the Forest returns to Sutton Hoo. With its high energy, colourful and imaginative interpretations of Shakespeare, Theatre in the Forest is accessible and fun for audiences of all ages.
Sutton Hoo, a place steeped in the ancient history of Kings is the perfect setting for Hamlet. In Denmark, Prince Hamlet discovers that his father was murdered by his mother’s new husband Claudius. He decides to take revenge, but discovers it’s not as simple as he thought…
With spooky ghosts, poisonous treachery, and heartbreaking love, HAMLET promises to be the must see show of the year!
Arrive from 5pm to enjoy a wander around the Sutton Hoo landscape. The King's River Café will be open until the show starts for hot and cold drinks and snacks. You won't need to worry about packing up a picnic as we'll be joined by a hot food concession throughout the run. The gift shop will also be open before the show begins. During the interval, the King's River Café will re-open along with an outlet situated next to the seating area which will be serving sweets, ice creams and hot chocolate.

Pathways to the venue are flat, with wheelchair access and seating and close-up parking/drop-off point to offer the shortest possible distance between your vehicle and the outdoor auditorium.
