Step back over 1000 years in time to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Anglo-Saxon life as we welcome Thegns of Mercia and Colchester Historical Enactment Society for a weekend full of living history at Sutton Hoo.

After seeing the Visitor Welcome team for your admission, make your way to the encampment and see what Anglo-Saxons you encounter on your visit.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and foot wear.

Accessibility

Wheelchair accessible. There will be real fires and smoke. Some activities will be noisy, but there are quiet spaces nearby.
