Claremont Live! returns this summer with open-air theatre and live music in the Garden. In July, bring your deck chairs and picnics for four evenings of theatre with Claremont's magnificent amphitheatre as your backdrop, then enjoy Saturday afternoons in August as fantastic local bands take to the lawn.
Outdoor Theatre
This summer sees the return of some of our favourite outdoor theatre production companies, as well as a new one, all offering something to entertain the whole family.
Thursday 9 July – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Four Forty Theatre invites you into its outrageous take on Shakespeare’s most magical comedy in just forty minutes. A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows runaway lovers, magical creatures, and a group of very determined actors who find themselves in over their heads. Suitable for ages 7+.
Saturday Sessions
1, 8, 15 and 22 August, 2pm - 4pm
Join us in August to enjoy an electic mix of music from the Peacock Lawn at Claremont. Buy some tasty treats from the Café or bring your own picnic, stretch out on the grass, let the music drift across the water, and enjoy a varied soundtrack in one of Surrey’s most scenic gardens.
1 August - The Dixieland Stompers
Kick off the series with the swinging, feel‑good sound of The Dixieland Stompers, a sensational nine‑piece traditional jazz band from Redhill, delivering classic Dixieland rhythms and infectious energy.
8 August - River City Saxes
Enjoy the refined sound of River City Saxes, a saxophone quartet performing a mix of classical, swing and light music, featuring both original compositions and much‑loved favourites.
15 August - The Macaroons
The Macaroons bring an upbeat, edgy blend of blues, soul and jazz, infused with European flair. Expect inventive takes on jazz and blues standards, alongside playful twists on Latin, funk, rock and soul.
22 August - Bilongo
Closing the series, Bilongo delivers vibrant Cuban‑inspired music, from lively salsa rhythms that invite you to move, to slower, atmospheric pieces rich in Latin character and energy.
