Celebr80! @ Hatchlands Park

Join us to celebrate 80 years of Hatchlands being in the care of the National Trust with live music, dancing and games on the lawn. Free entry for everyone.

Eighty years ago, in 1945, HS Goodhart Rendel, the last owner of Hatchlands gifted the estate to the National Trust. Why not bring your own picnic, buy one from our café or pre-order a Hatchlands picnic with games to celebrate this 80 year anniversary with an afternoon of 1940s themed live music, dancing, and vintage garden games on the west lawn. 1940's themed clothing is welcomed!

Pre-booked picnics include: Your choice of sandwich (g/f available) - Cheddar and Slow Roasted Tomato (vg), Coronation Chickpea (v), Egg and Cress (vg), Tuna Mayonnaise and Cucumber or Coronation Chicken. Please choose your sandwich filling at checkout when booking.

Picnics will also include 1940's themed classic family picnic games, suitable for all ages.

Suitability

Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Meeting point

For pre-booked picnics, head to outside the Kitchen Café where you will see the picnic pick-up table. Picnics can be collected between 1100 - 1400.

What to bring and wear

Please bring your own lawn chairs or picnic blankets.

Accessibility

The west lawn is suitable for wheelchairs.

Other

No dogs are allowed on the west lawn. Picnics are non refundable. In the event of bad weather, the entertainment and games will not go ahead. Booking essential for Hatchlands picnics only. If you are bringing your own picnic or buying one from the café, then you don't need to book.
