A guided walk with lots of little known historical facts about the countryside around Guildford

Starting at Millmead Lock, this walk goes up the Mount and follows the Hog’s Back track to the A31, then descends the hill to the south, turning right at the bottom for Watts Gallery and refreshments/comfort break. From Watts Gallery the route returns via the back of the Loseley estate to Millmead lock along the Wey Navigation. 7 miles (4 hours).

Meeting point

Meet at Millmead Lock, behind the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in the centre of Guildford. NB There are no toilets at the start of the walk.

What to bring and wear

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and bring a packed lunch, or buy at Watts Gallery.
