Join us for morning coffee, light lunches or afternoon tea in the cosy tearoom bookshop at Dapdune Wharf every weekend this winter and spring.

The Lock keeper's tearoom and the book shed are joining together as to become the tearoom bookshop especially for winter/spring.

It's a perfect place to catch up with friends, or to warm up after a refreshing walk along the Wey. Enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, light lunches and tasty treats as you delve into a fabulous selection of second-hand books in cosy surrounds overlooking the Wey.

The tearoom bookshop will be open Fridays to Sundays, 10am - 4.30pm from 11 November to 19 March.

Boat trips will resume in from 25 March 2023.

For Families

Also open every weekend is the old gunpowder store, with space to play, children's books and simple free craft activities for the family to enjoy together.

Outside, wrap up warm and explore nature. Keep an eye out for wildlife on Dapdune island and see the Wharf by winter. Whatever the season there's beauty to be found in this urban green space in the heart of Guildford.

Winter Walks

For a longer winter walk, cross the footbridge from the back gate to find the Wey towpath. This is your access point for nearly twenty miles of walking, along the banks of the Navigations, taking in Godalming, Guildford, Send, Pyrford and Weybridge. Or why not join us for one of our guided walks going a bit further afield?

A nice local starter is a stroll to Riverside Nature Reserve by Stoke Lock. Turn right after crossing the railway bridge, and follow the path for 1.5 miles.

Please plan your return before the gate is locked. The car park at Dapdune is open 9am-5pm.
