Bat Walks at Winkworth
Bat Walks led by the Surrey Bat Society will return to the arboretum where experts will guide visitors through the arboretum to the best areas of bat habitats. Observe, learn about, and listen to bats in their natural habitats.

Meet your expert guide at the entrance 20 minutes before Sunset, where visitors will be given a short presentation on ideal bat life at Winkworth, before using a bat box and echo bat detectors. Winkworth has a variety of rich habitats for bats including woodland areas, clear meadows with open land. Previously spotted bats include pipistrelles, greater horseshoe bat and many more.
The guided walk will last 1hr30 mins. Meet 20 mins before Sunset at entrance. Gates will open please do not park on the road or block the entrance. A member of staff will be in the car park directing visitors where to park. Before heading into the arboretum.

The arboretum is planted on steep slopes and hills with steps. Please be aware that paths may become muddy and slippery.
