See the work that helps to clean and maintain the collections here at Bateman's and have the chance to chat to the collections and house team.
Our regional curator, Freddie Matthews, is joining us on the 15 April to share insight into the work, this is a great opportunity to learn more and enhance your visit to Bateman's.
We have planned to work on a range from our collection including textiles, ships, and Rudyard Kipling’s beloved blue Rolls Royce.
The team will be looking after:
Parlour cabinets, 15 April (joined by our regional curator)
Rolls Royce, 13 May
Textiles in the Kipling's bedroom, 17 June
Objects in the Study, 22 July
Parlour textiles, 12 August
Hall tapestry, 9 September
Ships in study, 14 October

The Parlour and Elsie’s Sitting Room are wheelchair accessible via the front entrance of the house. The Rolls Royce garage has a step up into the building and isn’t wheelchair accessible, but it still viewable from the path.
