Learn willow weaving techniques to create your own Swallow sculpture in the Gardens of Petworth House.

Join friendly local tutor Ann Twinam-Cauchi in this willow weaving workshop.

Learn to weave a Willow Swallow or two to take home, in a small group outside in the beautiful Petworth Gardens. This is an ideal beginners willow weaving project in a gentle pace workshop with plenty of one to one tuition.

All materials are provided but if you would like to bring  your own secateurs please do.   We will be outside if it is dry or inside should it rain. Small fold up stools provided or bring your own fold out camping chair.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and all skill levels.

What to bring and wear

Participants can bring their own secateurs and outdoor chair if they wish. Please come prepared for outdoor weather with sun cream, sun hat etc.

Accessibility

The workshop will take place in the Gardens in fine weather, or in the Battery House studio if it rains. The studio has step-free access. There is a mobility buggy running between the main car park and the House. The Gardens are relatively flat.

Expressions in Blue: Monumental Porcelain by Felicity Aylieff 

Towering sculptures by renowned ceramicist Felicity Aylieff are being exhibited at Petworth House and Park. The exhibition takes place across the whole property including installations throughout the house, and in the grounds.
