David Millais comes from a family of rhododendron experts and worked for the largest rhododendron nursery in the USA, before running Millais Nurseries near Farnham, Surrey for 35 years. He offered the widest range of rhododendrons in the country through a highly acclaimed mail order website and gained a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales. He was Chairman of the RHS Rhododendron, Camellia and Magnolia Group for 5 years, and is a member of their Plant Committee. He is a member of the RHS Woody Expert Group and has just been presented with the prestigious RHS Loder Rhododendron Cup.
