Take a seat in the café inside Newton House and enjoy a range of hot and cold food, bakes and ice creams. In the car park, the outdoor “You Are Here” café is a convenient spot for takeaway drinks and snacks, before heading off for a walk or White Park Cattle watching.

The café inside Newton House

Enjoy a selection of sandwiches, savoury snacks, warm pasties and sausage rolls, cakes and bakes, drinks and ice creams in the historic old billiard room, the main café located on the ground floor of Newton House. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the café inside the House (admission charges apply, members free).

If you prefer, sit out on the formal parterre garden behind the house with views of Dinefwr’s deer roaming the historic deer park.

Or enjoy the courtyard of Newton House, which will open as the ‘Oak Yard’ on 20th July.

The fair-trade coffee is ethically sourced and blended specifically for the National Trust.

Accredited by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) and awarded the Bronze Food for Life Served Here Award with the Soil Association.

Evening Launch 2 August. Open daily 3-31 August 2024.

Pitchfork & Provision, a well-known local café are joining us this August in The Oak Yard to offer an array of seasonal delights. Local to Llandeilo Pitchfork & Provision specialise in artisan food made with the best local ingredients.

They’ll be offering artisan pastries, cakes and homemade savoury options such as filled focaccia and sausage rolls. Take a closer look at the menu and you might notice produce from Dinefwr, Dolaucothi farms and Llanerchaeron on there; we’re thrilled to see produce from National Trust places on the menu.

For the evening launch on 2 August and the end of summer celebration on 30 August there’ll be a range of fine food, good wine, local beers and ciders. Freshly baked Pitchfork flat breads, grilled marinated lamb from one of the National Trust’s tenant farmers, grilled vegetables, homemade hummus and grazing Mezze platters.
