Celebrate all things bird at Dinefwr with ranger walks, creative activities, artist workshops and a special appearance from Branwen herself.

Join us for a celebration of birds, creativity and the natural world at Dinefwr's Big Bird Day.
As part of our year-long Birding with Branwen programme and this summer's Summer of Play, the estate will be alive with activities inspired by the incredible birds that call Dinefwr home.
10.30am-12pm Start your summer holidays by joining our Rangers to discover the birds of Dinefwr's floodplain and learn more about the habitats that make this landscape so special.
11am-3pm Throughout the day, the Oak Yard will be filled with free family activities, including bird feeder making and opportunities to create your very own feathered friend to take home.
11am-12pm & 1pm-3pm For those looking to spread their wings, artist Ami Marsden will be leading her special Swanning About! workshops, where families can create spectacular cardboard swan costumes before parading through Newton House. (Booking required for workshop sessions.)
2pm-3pm The day comes to a close with a very special Branwen Talk, bringing together stories, nature and imagination in a fitting finale to our celebration of birds.
Whether you're a budding birdwatcher, a keen crafter or simply looking for a fun family day out, Dinefwr Big Bird Day is the perfect opportunity to explore, create and play together.
Normal admission charges apply. Some activities are free with admission; workshop places must be booked separately.
