Star Party at Dyffryn Gardens with Cardiff Astronomical Society
Come to Dyffryn Gardens on All Hallows Eve and take a tour of the night sky with Cardiff Astronomical Society.
- Booking essential
- Free event
On Friday 31 October from 7.30-9.30pm, Cardiff Astronomical Society will be hosting a Star Party at their Observatory in Dyffryn Gardens. See the night sky through a telescope and hear the stories of the stars from the CAS team. Tour the night sky and discover the brightest stars and planets above us. The team will be on hand to introduce you to all the different kinds of telescopes too. If the sky is cloudy that night, you’ll tour the night sky through the Stellarium, which is a mapping tool of the sky – they’ll zoom in close to constellations and you can even see the sky above the southern hemisphere too. It’s a great event, whatever the weather.
Tickets are completely free, book your space by emailing secretary@cardiff-astronomical-society.co.uk and they’ll send out an event pack with access details, what to wear, and all the details you need for the evening. There are 20 spaces and it’s first come, first served.
