Enjoy a walk of discovery around Erddig Estate with regional Archaeologist, Kathy. With ridge and furrow earthworks, Wat’s Dyke, and a Norman Motte and Bailey there are centuries of history and archaeology to explore!

The basics

Accessibility

The walk is not fully accessible with some uneven terrain, woodland areas and short hilly sections. The walk will take approximately two hours so recommended age is 14 and above

Meeting point

At Erddig ticket office just before 11am

Suitability for children

Recommended age 14+. Children to be accompanied by an adult

What to bring and wear

Appropriate clothing for all weather and walking around woodland and uneven ground.

Other

Two walks available - Friday 24th July 11am-1pm and Saturday 25th July 11am-1pm. Booking not needed but there are a maximum of 15 places per walk - based on a first come-first serve basis.
