Introduction to blacksmithing workshop at Erddig
Learn how to craft your own traditional fire poker to take home in this workshop run by The Little Learning Company at Erddig.

Join us to discover how to craft a handmade fire poker as we welcome The Little Learning Company to Erddig. Learn basic blacksmithing techniques including how to use a gas forge safely, heating, shaping and bending steel in this two hour workshop.
The course is suitable for age 13 and above and costs £60 per person. There are two sessions to choose from on Saturday, 9 May, at 10am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm. Booking is essential. Normal admission charges to Erddig apply, free entry for National Trust members.

- What to bring and wear
Please dress according to the weather. We recommend wearing layers.
- Accessibility
Erddig's timber yard is fine gravel. The lower ground floor of the house is accessible. Our gardens and outbuildings are accessible with ramped wheelchair access to the gardens. The area near the stable yard is cobbled. The paths in the gardens are fine loose gravel and Wolf's Den has wood chip flooring.
