Keep everyone entertained with a fun family day out at Erddig. With acres of parkland, natural play area and seasonal activities, there's lots to keep your little explorers busy.

Planning your family visit

Here’s the information you need at a glance to help plan your next day out at Erddig:

  • Toilets and baby-changing facilities are located in the Midden Yard. Additional composting toilets are located in Wolf’s Den, our natural play area.
  • Pushchairs are only permitted throughout the house's lower ground floor, which is fully accessible with level stone floors. Pushchairs can also be left at the house's entrance.
  • Please note that dogs are not permitted inside the house, garden, shop, hayloft restaurant, or the Wolf’s Den natural play area. The only exception to this policy is registered assistance dogs.

Take part in an Easter trail

Experience an Easter adventure this spring at Erddig.

From March 21 and April 12, make your way along the Easter trail and get involved with activities for the whole family.

Inspired by the animal alphabet cards in the collection in the house, follow the map and complete all 10 activity stations before collecting your egg.

Can you jump over hurdles and be the first to ring the cowbell, or balance a bean bag on your back like a turtle? Challenge your friends and family and see if you can jump as far as a hare or find the hooting owl blindfolded. Then complete an egg and spoon race with giant ostrich eggs.

The trail takes place from 10am to 4pm from 21-27 March and 10am-5pm 28 March-12 April and is £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg (*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.)
