Down the slipway near the harbour
Blue badge parking and nearest toilets by the slipway. Shop, snacks and island tickets at Lockley Lodge run by Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. Uneven path and rough terrain. Access to the coast path, trails and boat gangway narrow, steep with steps. Unsuitable for wheelchairs, powered mobility vehicles and pushchairs or if you are unsteady on your feet.

- The Puffin Shuttle runs from St Davids to Marloes and Martin’s Haven from 24 May – 28 September 2025. The timetable is available online. The Flecsi bus service operates within a set zone and is available anytime between 7.30am and 6.30pm (Monday to Saturday). Customers can book by downloading the Fflecsi App. Alternatively, you can book by phoning 0300 234 0300 (Mon-Sat: 7am – 7pm/Sun: 9am – 6pm). Historic Harbour
A small north facing harbour where the boat departs for nearby Skomer Island.
Wild Headland (Deer Park)
A coastal heathland with an Iron Age fort adjacent to Martins Haven looking out towards Skomer Island. Despite its name there are no deer. A designated SSSI, SAC and SPA site.
Skomer Marine Conservation Zone
A Marine Conservation Zone that is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Medieval stone
A 9th or 10th entury inscribed stone cross possibly used as a prayer station for travellers near the harbour.

About Martin's Haven, Pembrokeshire
This fabulously wild headland with fine panoramic views of St Bride’s Bay, and its tiny harbour, is the gateway to Skomer Island and the visiting colonies of Puffins, and Manx Shearwater. Martin’s Haven welcomes thousands of visitors each year who come here to view these extraordinary birds.
The geology is spectacular as well, including both sandstones and volcanic rocks with folds, faults and jagged rocks. The Deer Park was once a well defended Iron Age coastal fort and the remains of this can still be seen today. It takes its name from a failed attempt to establish a deer park at the turn of the 20th century. Today the headland is grazed by cattle and the cliff tops are excellent for viewing seals during breeding season.
