Eating at Powis Castle and Garden

The chefs are proud to serve a seasonal menu, using local and fair-trade products wherever possible. Whether sweet or savoury, we’re guaranteed to have something to tempt you.

Courtyard Café

Located in what was once the stable, our Courtyard café is open daily serving hot lunches, sandwiches, savoury snacks, cakes and hot and cold drinks.

If the weather is good, you can dine al fresco and enjoy a beautiful view of the castle from our courtyard tables. Why not take a hot drink or sandwich into the garden and find the perfect spot to picnic?

Garden Coffee Shop

Wander down to our Garden Coffee Shop nestled in the Edwardian formal garden. It’s the perfect spot to treat yourself to a cream tea or light snack, whilst admiring the beautiful scents and scenes of our garden.

Children’s menu

Kids love picking their own colourful lunch boxes, and choosing which healthy and delicious snacks they’d like to fill them with. They can enjoy their lunch inside or if the weather’s good enjoy a picnic outside.

Children can also choose from our seasonal menu and enjoy mini versions of all our main meals.

Tasty Welsh treat

Enjoy a traditional taste of Wales by treating yourself to a slice of our delicious bara brith when you visit. The recipe is a closely guarded secret and we think it’s rather special.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit

Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.
