February half term at Powis Castle and Garden

This February half term, power up your family adventure with hands-on activities, trails, and playful challenges, all celebrating an exciting new chapter for this historic site.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

This February half term we'll be 'Powering Up' the fun as we celebrate the start of our large-scale project to upgrade the wiring within this 13th century castle.

Inside, explore the ornate State Rooms as you follow a new interactive family trail with hard-hat dressing-up area, plug and socket activities, and plenty of 'spot it' challenges along the way. It's guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained as you discover more about how we care for this majestic medieval castle now and into the future.

Outside, take on the 'Pocket Trail' which will get everyone exploring, collecting, and playing together. See what natural treasures you can find to fill your pockets and complete fun challenges as you go. Look out for statues, play hide and seek in the Wilderness, race down the longest path, and find the biggest tree for a giant hug.
