Christmas at Berrington Hall

Inside the mansion
From Saturday 21 November Sunday 3 January, visitors can step back in time to the Georgian era and experience the build up to Christmas inside the mansion before the big day itself. Inside the mansion, experience all the sights and smells of the Georgian festive period from the food being prepared for a traditional feast to the glorious dining table, with all its fine silverware polished to perfection.
Christmas events
Families can follow our fun ‘Georgian Christmas Party’ trail which runs throughout the garden at Berrington. This is a great way to learn more about the festive period during the Eighteenth Century and there’s even a small prize at the end. Trails can be purchased from Visitor Reception and are £3 each.
Horse and carriage rides are back at Berrington from this December, this year we have added a pre-booking system so families can choose their preferred timeslot. You can book your tickets and secure your spot by clicking here.
Grown-ups can enjoy getting creative in the garden with our annual wreath making workshop. With support from the head gardener in a small group, create a bespoke piece to adorn your front door to welcome guests this Christmas. Take a festive stroll through the elegant gardens and sweeping parkland at Berrington Hall. Whether you're exploring tree-lined paths or admiring the seasonal gardens, the landscape offers a peaceful escape and a chance to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors during the Christmas season.
Warm up at the tearoom
Once you’ve explored the outdoors head to the Old Servants’ Hall tearoom for warming drinks and festive treats throughout the Christmas period.
