This tour provides an introduction to British neoclassical architect and designer Robert Adam and the significant contribution he made to Croome’s interiors. Commissioned early in his career by the 6th Earl of Coventry, Adam went to form important collaborations with ‘Capability’ Brown, having met when working together at Croome.
This 45 minute tour highlights the important relationship that formed between Robert Adam, ‘Capability’ Brown and the 6th Earl of Coventry that can still be experienced in Croome’s landscape and interiors today.
The maximum number of people per tour is 20 excluding the guide.
All tours are subject the availability of volunteers to run them.

These are ground floor tours so visitors will only need to consider the front steps. However, a stair climber is available for those with access needs to get into the property itself and wheelchairs and other mobility aids are welcome
- Meeting point
Please sign up upon arrival at the main entrance of the house. Spaces are limited: the tour is available on a first come first served basis.
- Suitability for children
Although designed for adults children are welcome.
- What to bring and wear
The tours take place inside the house but comfortable footwear and warm layers are strongly recommended.
