Croome Memory Sharing Day
Do you have any memories of Croome before it came into the care of the National Trust? Come along to our memory sharing day, where we are eager to hear stories of Croome's recent history, especially from 1979 to 1996.

- Free event
Croome has had a fascinating history of incredible innovation, devastating loss, remarkable survival and magnificent. The history of Croome varied and complex with a rich variety of stories to share. Much of this work has already taken place and we’re turning our focus to more recent times, uncovering recent histories from 1979 onwards.
This is the first in a new series of Memory Sharing Days aimed at uncovering things we don’t yet know about Croome. We are eager to hear from anyone with memories from 1979 to when the National Trust started caring for the site in 1996. We’d especially like to hear from anyone with photos or memorabilia, so please bring along any memorable items you’d like to share with us.
If you remember the Hare Krishna at Croome, attended the legendary Hell Fire Balls or rambled through fields of crops prior to the parkland restoration, we want to hear from you!
Information from these events will help us to piece together a more comprehensive timeline from 1979 onwards, as well as reaching out to individuals and communities whose stories are not represented at Croome. Information gathered at these events will inform our future programme and enable us to share diverse and engaging stories of our recent past.
The Memory Sharing Day will be held in the SOQ (Sergeants Orderlies Quarters). Non-members with memories to share will receive free entry to Croome following the event.
