The Firs will be open two extra days during May Half-Term to celebrate the Elgar Festival taking place.
On Tuesday 27 May a Young Singers Masterclass will be taking place at The Firs – see 6 talented young singers work with April Fredrick and Ian Verables. Learn the secrets of the singers’ craft, discover how a composer brings text to life, and explore the amazing relationship between singer and collaborative pianist. Please note timings and how to book are available on the Elgar Festival website.
On Thursday 29 May there will be a ‘Hidden Music’ film screening in the Carice Room, the screening will be preceded by a performance of Venables ‘Three Pieces for Violin’ and followed by a Q and A session with Ian hosted by Classic FM’s Zeb Soanes. The Elgar Festival runs from Saturday 24 May – Sun 1 June where activities across Worcestershire will take place in celebration of one of Britain’s greatest composers.
