Autumn Half Term at The Firs

This autumn half term, as The Firs begins to settle down for its winter rest, join us for some seasonal outdoor fun.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

As the days grow cooler and nature prepares for the winter, discover how different animals make themselves cosy for the months ahead.

Use natural materials to create a cosy home for a ladybird and get creative with loose parts play to build an imaginary home for a hibernating hedgehog or take on the Hibernation Guess Who challenge and see if you can guess the animals that snooze their way through the winter months.

With plenty of opportunities for hands-on play and discovery, it's the perfect way for families to explore, play and connect with nature as the seasons change.

We’re open Friday- Monday from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4.30pm, so there’s plenty of time to explore and enjoy. And when the chill sets in, warm up at Little Al’s Café, open from 10am to 4.30pm, serving delicious seasonal drinks and snacks to keep you cosy.
