Friday 21 August 12 - 12:30 pm : Who was Elgar? This might seem a simple question to answer - but it is far from simple. This 30 minute talk with examples from some of his music explains who he really was - and it's far from the person you thought you knew.
2 - 2:30 pm: The Story of Land of Hope & Glory Land of Hope and Glory is an anthem which divides the nation - but did Elgar actually write the song? This is the true story of Land of Hope and Glory - how it came to be written, and the supreme ironies which surround it. If you thought you knew the song well - think again!
